The Charles St. Christian Church would like to introduce its new minister, Pastor Tom Lasure, to the Shinnston area. Pastor Tom started his ministry with a series of sermons on gratitude. He is devoting Advent to the message of hope.
In addition, the church is renewing its custom of having a candlelight Christmas Eve celebration.
Pastor Tom is eager to harmoniously work with other Shinnston area churches so that people can see the love of Christ in all area Christians. He has served in many ministries with youth as well as adults. His passion is evangelism. He serves the Lord with love for all ages. He has many ties to the Shinnston/Lumberport area and is eager to meet and work with other Shinnston pastors and their members.
The church, located on the corner of Monroe and Charles streets, is renewing its custom of having a candlelight Christmas Eve Celebration Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. Members would like to extend an invitation to all who would like to celebrate Christ’s birth and also help to welcome the new pastor to the community.
The Charles St. Christian Church holds its Sunday morning services at 10 a.m. The church serves communion every Sunday, open to all worshippers of Christ.
