We started our morning enjoying snacks and coffee with good fellowship. At about 9:45 am with began playing bingo with Donna Post winning the first bingo. We played until 11:00 am with the last game being coverall, which Donna Post won for $10.00.
Our business meeting was called to order at about 11:15 by President Pro-tem Carla Wilfong with 17 members present. We started the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the Star Spangle Banner. Carla Wilfong pasted out a list of thing coming up events for the month. She also gave out the form we need to fill out to get our flu shot on October 20, 2023 by the Harrison County Health Department.
Donna Post read a very meaningful poem for devotions.
Prayer list: Janet Dotson, Roger Dotson, Jerry Wilfong, Joyce Mikers daughter, Dortha Parsons, Violet Stout and Shirley Greaver.
The Alzheimer’s Walk will be October 22, 2023 at the Meadowbrook Mall, at least four from our Satellite will be walking.
Christmas Dinner will be held at the Clarksburg Senior Center on December 7, 2023, $10.00 per person, call ahead to make arrangement.
A coloring page was pasted out to members to color for Halloween to be turn in October 28. Members who wanted to could make fall leaves out of pipe cleaners, Winners were Sylvia Duckworth, Karen Crayton, and Joyce Mikers with the winners receiving a gift card.
The meeting ended with the drawing for 50/50 won by Joyce Mickers for $13.00 and the first door prize was won by Carla Wilfong
We then enjoyed a lunch of homemade vegetable soup, ham salad, chicken salad, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Lunch next will be Chili and the fixings.
