Plow & Hearth has opened its first-ever store in West Virginia. The eclectic store was open for business at the Suncrest Towne Centre in Morgantown Monday, May 16, but will celebrate its Grand Opening Friday, May 20 through Sunday May 22.
“We’ll have several of our signature items and more on special sale for our Grand Opening,” reports Bea Moon, Plow & Hearth acting manager at the Morgantown location.
Moon, who has been with the retailer for 15 years, is the current supervisor at the Pittsburgh store. She’ll be at the Morgantown location for a couple of weeks helping it get launched. She says she’s very excited to be part of the business’s expansion into the Mountain State – especially at such a premier location.
“The Suncrest Towne Shopping Center is amazing!” Moon exclaimed. “The large size of the shopping center is fantastic and I’m impressed with how many stores there are here.”
She said that the Morgantown area is a perfect location for their new store.
“It’s both a city AND rural area, and we have beautiful products that fit both lifestyles and that will beautify their [different types of] homes,” Moon explained.
Moon says she and her team are looking forward to seeing a large crowd visit for the Grand Opening.
“We’re expecting a lot of people,” she said.
And it’s not just humans they’re anticipating meeting. One unique and family-friendly feature of shopping at Plow & Hearth is that dogs are allowed to visit with their human parents! Pups ARE part of the family, as most people agree.
“Yes, we welcome our customers’ furry family members, too,” Moon remarked, smiling.
Customers can expect a plethora of varied product items–the latest in indoor and outdoor furnishings and decor, rugs, fireplace items (of course), unique and artistic garden accents, brand name clothing and footwear and gourmet food items, Moon stated.
“The lawn spinners, which are lawn art pieces, will be part of the special sale,” she added.
Just some of the name brand apparel and footwear are: “Life is good” shirts and hats, Dansko shoes, Teva sandals and the ever-popular UGG brand.
Plow & Hearth also sells gourmet signature food items, such as salsas, dips, jams and much more. Their Virginia peanuts are one of the store’s most popular food products, which Moon says is her very own favorite treat.
“We’re famous for our Virginia peanuts, which are large and very fresh,” she said. “And our headquarters is in Virginia. We always have these peanuts; they’re one of our signature items.”
The store has on-going food tastings daily, so customers can sample for their own particular taste before selecting and purchasing their picks.
“I love, love this company, and I’m certain people here in the Morgantown area will, too,” Moon stated.
Store hours are: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
