The annual Book Sale held by the Friends of Clarksburg-Harrison Public Library (The Friends) was a successful event held on May 2 – 4, 2024.
“The annual Book Sale is the only fundraiser held each year by the Friends,” announced Friends President Victor Folio. “The proceeds are used to support the Library’s programs and activities throughout the year”.
Library activities supported by the Friends include programs in the children’s department, junior friends’ group, junior garden club, and teen and young adult programming. The Friends also support special programs at the Waldomore, and the United States Passport program operated by the Library’s staff.
“I like to volunteer with the sales because of all the good things the Library’s staff does with the money raised,” stated Friends lifetime member and Board Member Bill O’Field.
Other sales volunteers and board members are Victor Folio, President, Clara Fuscaldo, Vice President, Rebecca D’Annunzio, Treasurer, Cecilia Reid, Secretary, Carol Clevenger, Jeanie Hardesty, Robin Hicks, Jay Kirkman, Bill O’Field, Terry Rundell, Joan Smith, Shawn Williams, and Dolores Yoke.
This year’s volunteers also included Lincoln Middle School student Kassie Gutierrez and Washington Irving Middle School student Paige McCarty.
