This week’s edition of Tee It Up is a focus on the Palmer Course at Stonewall Resort. Named after the King of Golf, Arnold Palmer, this tract layout is truly exceptional. The views here are breathtaking from the top notch practice facility through the 18th hole.
The staff is a difference maker at Stonewall Resort, led by the Director of Golf, Mike Rogers. His experience, leadership, and vision are key components in the leadership of a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They run the award winning golf shop that is stocked full of modern high end men’s and women’s apparel, merchandise, and equipment. Everything that you need for your round can be had in this pro shop.
The practice facility provides a driving ranger, chipping area, and a putting green. It is also where I was fortunate enough to ask Arnold Palmer himself a question when he was in town to dedicate the course several years ago.
Lightburn’s Restaurant is located right above the golf shop and it provides an excellent venue for a 19th hole. You can relax, unwind, and recap your round while overlooking the entire resort from a bird’s eye view.
Stay and play packages are available at Stonewall resort and there is something here for everyone. The marina offers boating and fishing. Bike rentals, pool and hot tubs, a fire pit, recreation center, and sporting clay shooting are just some of the activities. As for food goes, with Joe Corcoglioniti as the Director of Food and Beverage, you better come hungry and prepare to be happy.
Stonewall Resort is a great place to spend time this summer.
