Emma L. Williams, 90, of Steubenville, OH, passed away on August 14, 2024. She was born on October 19, 1933, in Jacksonburg, WV, a daughter to the late Osty Arnett and Lucy Price. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Williams; siblings Clarence Arnett (Barb), Betty Shaw (Paul), Jimmy Arnett (MaryAnn), Shirley Owens (Harold), and Linda Cumberledge (Duane); and granddaughter Ashley Williams.
She is survived by her children, Betty Jo Powell (Burke) of Steubenville, OH, Cathy Morris of Steubenville, OH, son John “Bubby” Williams (Penny) of Clarksburg, Susan Higgins (Bill) of Mingo Jct., OH, Juanita Ferrell (Floyd) of Smithfield, OH, Emma Lee Williams of Steubenville, OH, and son Tim Williams of Steubenville, OH; brother Johnny Arnett (Darlene) of Wallace, WV; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Emma was a former member of the Wallace Pentecostal Church and Church of God, Brown. She enjoyed going to church, gardening, reading her bible, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 2:00PM-8:00PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at 11:00AM with Pastor James Burton officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Bluff Cemetery.
