The Harrison County athletes in the spotlight this week are Robert C. Byrd’s Junior Smith and Bridgeport’s Jack Spatafore.
Flying Eagle quarterback Junior Smith led his team to a 48 to seven win over Keyser this past Thursday. Smith ran for 253 yards on 15 carries, including four scores. Smith was three for three passing for 56 yards, including a 44 yard touchdown pass.
Indian signal caller Jack Spatafore helped his squad to a 77 to nothing victory over Buckhannon-Upshur last Friday. Spatafore touched it three times and scored on all three opportunities. He had two rushes for 71 yards with touchdowns of 27 and 44 yards. He also attempted one pass that was good for a 26 yard score.
