Robert Max “Jim” Moore, 81, of Lumberport, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024 at his home. He was born February 1, 1943, in Hepzibah, a son of the late Eugene and Della Criss Moore.

On October 29, 2021, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon R. White Moore.

He is survived by his children, Jamie Whitfield and her husband Aaron of Buckhannon; Laura Spry and her husband Lloyd of Lumberport; Max Moore and his companion Jessica Powers of Davisson Run; and Bobbi Jo Kelley and her husband Mike of Bridgeport; his nine grandchildren, Rocky Lindsey II; Amber Hedrick; Joshua McCoy; Ashley Eakle; Seth Spry; Gunnar Moore; Matt Kelley; Autumn Kelley; and Sarah Kelley; as well as 16 great-grandchildren; his brother, Clarence “Butch” Moore of Lumberport; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jim was preceded in death by his siblings, Eugene “Sonny” Moore; Richard “Dick” Moore; George “Doc” Moore; Lula Mae Morgan; Daniel Moore; Gloria Diane Hawkins; Geneva Darlene Moore; and Loraine Maxine Moore.

Jim loved to go fishing and hunting. He spent many nights roaming the local hills while coon hunting. He was a professional painter and was a member of the International Union Painters and Allied Trades Local 804 in Fairmont.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home. No public services will be held. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.perinefunerals.com.

The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Moore family.
