James Edward Rush

James Edward Rush, 64, of Clarksburg, passed away on November 6, 2024. He was born on October 21, 1960, in Cleveland, OH, a son to the late Charles Edward Rush and Viola D. (White) Rush.

James is survived by his wife, Sandra Rush, whom he married on Nov. 13, 2010. He’s also survived by his stepchildren Virgil Flint, Matthew Flint, and Christopher Flint (Megan); step grandchildren Dylan, Arika, Matthew, Chasity, Brison, Vincent, Josh, Cody, Maddie, and Samantha; sister Lucile Stutler (Gene); brothers Richard Rush (Sandy), and Phillip Rush (Cathy); sisters-in-law Patricia Woodson, Elizabeth Taylor, Carol Saywer, and Laura Rafferty; and brothers-in-law Dwight Saywer, Dennis Taylor, Dwight Taylor, John Taylor, and Henry Taylor.

He is preceded in death by his brother, George E. Rush; and sisters-in-law Reverta Conrad, Brenda Taylor, and Kimberly Taylor.

 

James previously worked for Bob Yost Paving. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed working on vehicles and helping others.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 10:00AM-2:00PM, with a funeral service at 2:00PM with Pastor Tammy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery, Lost Creek.
