For the annual quilt contest at Bice-Fergusson Museum, Minda Shingleton won first place for her “Wedding Ring Quilt,” followed by Bernice Jones’ “Butterfly Quilt” owned by Kathleen Panek. Shannon Bowie’s “Shenandoah Valley” won third. Each Saturday in October, the Museum will also open the Shinnston High School Alumni Room and other exhibits on the upstairs floor between 9 o’clock a.m. and 1 o’ clock p.m..
