Virginia Frances Beverly, 93, formerly of Meadowbrook, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was born in Clarksburg, December 11, 1931, a daughter of the late Ray B. and Golda I. Coffindaffer Dean. On June 3, 1950, she married, James William Beverly who preceded her in death on December 11, 2016.
Surviving are four daughters: Sherri Heavner and her husband Richard, Meadowbrook, Karen Henderson, Meadowbrook, Carla Costa, McKeesport, PA, and Carol Robinson and her husband James, Clarksburg; her grandchildren: Golda C. Perando, Frances Shaw, Vanessa Costa, Eva Costa, Ashley Rivers, James P. Robinson, Jesse Cross and husband Kevin, and Michelle Heavner; her great grandchildren: Gabe Kiger, Savannah Welch, Deanna welch, Sadie Shaw, Crevan Shaw, Stoic Shaw, Aubree Carper, Kash Robinson, Easton Cross, Karlee Cross, Raina Rivers, and Jaylon Rivers; a brother-in-law, Richard Taylor; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her wonderful caregiver, Sherry Sellers.
Virginia was preceded in death by two sons: Gary and James Beverly; one sister, Shirley Taylor, and a brother, Ray Dean and his wife Theresa Lohosit Dean; and a son-in-law, Justin “Buzz” Henderson, a great granddaughter, Gabriella Welch and great-great granddaughter, Seraphina Smentkowski.
Virginia was an accomplished artist who loved quilting, yardwork, and flowers. She was a caregiver to many people and loved going to church at Emmanuel Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Virginia, above all, cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm on Friday, November 14 with Pastor Rita Robinson officiating. Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
