Carla Dawn Sendling, 46, of Wyatt, passed away on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at United Hospital Center following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 5, 1979 in Fairmont, a daughter of Larry Evans of Wyatt and Donna Halpenny Evans, also of Wyatt.
In addition to her parents, Carla is survived by her two children which she adored, Alisha Evans Kozul and her husband Austin of Shinnston; and Zachary Evans of Wyatt; her brother, Chris Halpenny and his wife April of Wyatt; her companion, Samuel Saporito; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herbert and Betty Halpenny; and Austin and Lizzie Evans.
Carla loved all animals and she would gladly take in any animal that needed help. Having a heart of gold, she would go above and beyond for anyone. Carla loved her children, her family, and her pets.
Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Monday from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 25th at 1:00pm with Pastors Michael Burge and Roy Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Wyatt I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
