Mary P. D’Anselmi, 92, of Clarksburg, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. She was born in Flemington, August 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Hunter Argil and Goldie Pearl Arbogast Hartley. Twice married, she was preceded in death by her first husband Lawrence Everett Pearson, Jr. and her second husband David D’Anselmi.
Surviving are three children: Gary Pearson, Kenneth Pearson and his wife Vicki, Daniel Pearson and his wife Delisa; grandchildren: Jacob A. Lowther and his wife Shasta, Adam Pearson and his wife Angela, Jared D. Pearson, Beth A. Thompson and her husband Cary, Melissa S. Turner and her husband Mark, Nathan Pearson and Aaron Daniel Pearson; her great grandchildren: Mason, Heidi, Alexander, Joshua, Gabrielle, Arielle, Ian, and Valerie; her brother, Robert James Harley and his wife Janet; sister-in-law Carol Hartley, and brother-in-law, Harry Poling, and her special friend and neighbor, Brenda Bonnett
Mary was also preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Lowther; her siblings: John P. Hartley and his wife Dolores, Ruth V. Watkins and her husband John Robert, Harold E. Hartley and his Ann, Regina Poling, and Nancy E. Snyder and her husband Preston.
Mary raised four children as a young widow and was an active member of Parents without Partners. She was formerly employed as a secretary for Justice of the Peace, Beulah Shaffer, the WV Department of Highways and the City of Fairmont from which she retired with many years of service. Mary loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone she encountered. She will be sadly missed.
