Betty L. Matheny, 92, of Enterprise, passed away on December 27, 2025. She was born on August 11, 1933, a daughter of the late Henry and Nellie Boggess Deem.

Betty is survived by her children: Cathy A. Lamp Bee of Enterprise, Vicky L. Wells of Salem, and Regina D. Starsick Knowlton and husband William of Fairmont; Grandchildren: Michael Lamp, Joshua Starsick and wife Marsha, Jeremy Starsick, Annie Wotring and husband Ryan, Mark Knowlton, Mike Knowlton, Lisa Knowlton, and Andy Knowlton; Great grandchildren: Andrea, Tracy, Kaylee, Morgan, Bailey, Ella, Ava, Scarlett, Jaylynn, Caedmon, Chloe, Joel, Josiah, and Emmy; Great-great grandchildren: Asher and Ivy; Brother: Henry E. Deem of Ohio; Grand Daughter-in-Law Heather Starsick; many extended family members, friends, and her Otterbein United Methodist Church Family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Henry L. Matheny; several brothers and sisters; and grandchildren: Jason Starsick and Roger Delwayne Lamp.

Betty was a faithful member of her church and enjoyed attending services and bible study. She also enjoyed sewing, mowing grass, and shopping for new shoes. Betty loved her family and especially loved spending time with all her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 11:00 am until the time of the service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at the Enterprise I.O.O.F. cemetery. Online memories and condolences can be shared with the family at www.PerineFunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Matheny family.
