Wanda Jean Jones

Wanda Jean Jones, 74, of Fairmont, passed away on January 24, 2026, at the Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 30, 1951, a daughter of the late Darryl and Margaret Thomas Jones.

Wanda is survived by her son, Adam Williams and Cherry Groves of Shinnston; grandchildren: Adam J. Williams of Morgantown, Kevin C. Williams of Grafton, Julian Williams and wife Jazmyne August of the U.S. Air Force, currently stationed in Guam, and Toby Williams of Shinnston; great grandchildren: Janae, Zane, Carlos and his baby brother; siblings: JoAnn Wright of Carolina, Cynthia Wilson of Fairmont, Wilbur Hunt of Fairmont, and Tammy Hunt of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews, and Julie Williams of Grafton.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her late husbands: Zane Williams Sr. and James Rush; children: Kevin E. Williams, Crystal Renee “Chrissy” Williams, and Zane Williams Jr.; granddaughter, Melissa Williams; siblings: Larry Jones and Patty Ann Bullard.

Wanda was a woman of faith who loved Jesus. She was a loving woman who spent her life caring for others and sharing what she had with those in need. She never turned away anyone who needed her help. Wanda loved her parents and moved both in with her so she could care for them when they needed additional help. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her special dog, Pup.

Family and friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12 pm until the time of the service at 6 pm. Evangelist Craig Matheny will officiate the service. Online memories and condolences may be left for the family at www.PerineFunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Jones Family.
