Edna B Renick, 91, of Mannington passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at her residence at Wishing Well Assisted Living, Genesis Healthcare, Fairmont. She was born November 21, 1934 in Shinnston, a daughter of the late Harry and Lexie Hess Tate.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Renick who passed away on July 29, 2000; two sons, Michael Renick and Steve Renick; two brothers, Bill Tate and Jack Tate; her sister, Colleen Gripper; two Half-Sisters, Genieve Mills and Adeline Marsh.

Surviving are two sons, Jack Renick and his wife Debbie, Mannington, and Bill Renick and his wife Linda, Hampstead MD; her sister, Kathleen DeBolt, Columbus OH; Daughter-in-law Marlene Renick Channell, Fairmont, WV; Grandchildren, Melanie Carper and husband Johnny, Morgantown, Jaclyn Renick, Greensboro, NC, Michael Renick and his wife Lorie, Worthington, Colin Renick and his wife Paula, Hampstead MD, and Amy Cain and her husband Ryan, Hampstead, MD; Great Grandchildren, Katelyn Carper, Morgantown, Colton Renick and Mason Renick, both of Worthington, WV, Avery Renick, Greensboro, NC, Isabel and Josephine Renick, Hampstead, MD, and Jayden Cain, Hampstead, MD; Many nieces and nephews.

She was employed at Decorator Industries and Owens Illinois. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church, Oakdale, WV.

Acknowledgment of gratitude is extended to Charity Baptist Church and Wyatt Union Fellowship for their compassion and steadfast love. Gratitude is also extended to the staff of Wishing Well Assisted Living for their attentive care and loving attitudes. They went above and beyond in providing a safe and nurturing home environment until Edna’s passing. Appreciation is also given to West Virginia Caring Hospice for their helpful hands.

Edna was a joyful woman with strong faith and many hobbies. As an active member of her church, she found great joy in attending and assisting with Bible studies. She cherished spending time with her family, especially when taking road trips together. In her earlier years, she found joy in attending her sons’ sporting events and academic programs. That devotion continued throughout her life as she attended her grandchildren’s activities, always offering her support. She also enjoyed connecting with others through cooking and entertaining. One of her simple pleasures was playing games with her friends and neighbors. No matter who she was around, Edna made a way to light up a room and share God’s grace.

Friends will be received at Harmer Funeral Home, Shinnston on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 12:00PM to 1:00 PM with a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Dan Adkins will conduct the service and Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park
