Richard “Rick” Lee Wickenhofer, age 73, of Clarksburg, WV, died on November 5, 2016 at his residence.
He was born April 17, 1943, in Glenwood, WV, the son of the late Paul Wickenhofer and Belva (McCartney).
Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Eileen (Smith) Wickenhofer of Nutter Fort, WV; a son, Richard Gregory Wickenhofer and his wife, Ginger of Wheeling, WV; a daughter, Traci Griffith of Nutter Fort, WV; six grandchildren, Brooke Wickenhofer and her husband, Lucas Small-Johnston of Bridgeport, WV, Jake Wickenhofer of Stealey, WV, Richard Stanley of Pittsburgh, PA, Curtis Griffith of Nutter Fort, WV, Heidi Stanley of Pittsburgh, PA, and Christopher Griffith of Nutter Fort, WV; great grandpup, Dracula Burl; sister-in-law, Rose Wickenhofer; three brothers-in-law, Donald V. VanScoy of Fairmont, WV, Joseph Smith and his wife, Maria of Orlando, Florida and Anthony Smith and his wife, Sharon of Clarksburg, WV; five nieces, Amber Benincosa of Fairmont, WV, Emma Dawson of Nutter Fort, WV, Haley Thorn of Richmond, VA, Cassie Gordon of Orlando, FL, and Crystal Lang of Orlando, FL; five nephews, Brenton Smith of Orlando, FL, Scott Cleavenger and family of Orlando, FL, Dan Cleavenger and family of Orlando, FL, TJ Watson of Beckley, WV and Josh Watson of Fairmont, WV.
In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by a brother, Ed Wickenhofer; two brothers-in-law, Daniel Cleavenger and David Smith; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Lynn VanScoy.
Rick retired from Hope Gas/Dominion Transmission after 34 years of service. After he retired and any time the weather permitted, he could be found on the golf courses. He was a member of Lake Floyd Golf Course, Sunny Croft Golf Course and Dominion Golf League and golfed on Mondays at Clarksburg Country Club. When Rick was 62 years old, he won the Dominion Golf League Tournament.
