Linda Kay Davis, 70, of Bridgeport passed away at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 in the Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Jane Lew following an extended illness.
She was born in Shinnston, WV on February 19, 1946 a daughter of the late Claude Bond “Johnnie” Haskins and Stella Mae Smith Haskins.
She is survived by three children: John Michael “Mike” Davis and wife, Anissa, of Roanoke, VA, Scott Patrick Davis and wife, Brenda, of Lost Creek, and Nancy Ellen Rohrer and husband, John “PJ”, of Clarksburg; one grandchild, Jacob Michael Rohrer; sister-in-law, Ann Haskins of FL; brother-in-law, Gene Baker of Philippi; and several nieces and nephews.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Franklin Haskins and wife, Juanita “Dolly”, Claude Richard Haskins, Maxine Haskins, and Joan Baker.
Linda graduated from Shinnston High School in 1965 and worked as a sales clerk for K-Mart for many years. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crafting, flower gardening, bird watching and watching WVU basketball. She was passionate about decorating for all the holidays, especially for Christmas – her favorite time of the year to spend precious moments with her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activities Dept. at Crestview Manor Nursing Home 199 Court St. Jane Lew. WV 26378 in memory of Linda who thoroughly enjoyed the many activities they offered.
