The Harrison County athletes in the spotlight this week are Lincoln’s Carter Knight and Bridgeport’s Gavin Williams.
Cougar cross country runner Carter Knight had a couple of big wins a couple of weeks ago.
Knight won the Harrison County Championships at Robert C. Byrd and also claimed victory at the Junior Nuzum Memorial Invitational in Shinnston.
Indian running back Gavin Williams returned from injury and put up big numbers against Fort Hill (Maryland) two weeks ago and Spring Valley this past week. In the two games combined, Williams picked up 392 yards on 29 carries. He also scored six touchdowns.
Congratulations to Lincoln’s Carter Knight and Bridgeport’s Gavin Williams for shining bright in the SN and HCJ spotlight!
