Highland-Clarksburg Hospital, Inc. is very excited to host a fun-filled evening in support of the patient programs offered at the hospital. Last year’s event was such a huge success with its Backpack Program. Through this program, HCHI was able to offer each patient that is discharged from the facility a backpack filled with essential items to call their own.
This year’s event is “Huggs and Kisses, II”; the event is scheduled for Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at the Bridgeport Conference Center. The evening will include dinner, a live auction, photo booth, live music and featured guest speaker Bob Huggins, WVU Men’s Basketball Coach. Music will be provided by the John Henry Band for a portion of the evening, and Kaufman Realty and Auctions will host the live auction.
Highland-Clarksburg Hospital Inc. is a private, non-profit hospital that is dedicated to providing the best care for persons with mental illness. HCHI has established an integrated system of high quality behavioral health services, including mental health treatment services for children, adolescents and adult patients. The hospital is located in Clarksburg and began taking patients in August 2013. HCHI is growing and wants to expand their clinical programs and community initiatives every year to reach out to other patients in need throughout north central West Virginia.
All proceeds of this evening will go to support patient programming at the hospital. Programming includes, but is not limited to, group therapy, recreational activities, exercise and arts and crafts, with a larger vision of an additional gymnasium. Along with the event proceeds for the hospital, a portion will be donated in support of the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Fund.
