See West Virginia from a whole new perspective at the Aerial Adventure Park at Harpers Ferry. With over 108 challenge course elements of varying difficulty, the park is conveniently located about an hour from Washington, D.C. and is perfect for families as well as individuals who relish adventure.
The nine challenge courses in the Adventure Park are color coded according to the level of difficulty and each one has at least 12 unique challenges. From four years old and up, unexperienced to pro-level, the Aerial Adventure Park at Harpers Ferry offers a safe alternative to ground adventures as participants zip-line and balance among the treetop courses.
Throughout the network of courses, one will find rope bridges, log bridges, Tarzan swings, zip-lines, and even a kids’ tree house, all suspended high above the River Rider’s main base. Below, adventurers can enjoy white water rafting, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and mountain biking on the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers in Harpers Ferry. With expert guides and the Edelrid Smart Belay System, the park offers the safest adventure around while offering teambuilding exercises, immersion in nature and a new experience each trip through the various activities.
Following a safety orientation, the staff will help navigate teams through courses that range from 10-40 feet off the ground. The course builds agility, balance, flexibility and courage all at a reasonable price and at a convenient location. Typically known for its historical sites, Harpers Ferry has begun to market the area as a destination for adventure as well, adding land, water and air adventures as well as unique lodging options and Segway tours.
Catering to corporate teams, families and thrill-seekers, the Aerial Adventure Park at Harpers Ferry has something for everyone and is the perfect addition to a D.C. vacation. More information can be found at www.harpersferryadventurecenter.com.
