Travelers seem to love this website since over 30 million people visit it every month!  The website is called OnlyInYourState.com, and actually it is useful for folks within their own state as well since it is common to overlook interesting places that are right in our own back door.

OnlyInYourState.com celebrates its second anniversary this year; it was initiated in March of 2015.  Contributing writers from all 50 states in the U.S. offer articles to help people discover the best of what each state has to offer.  It highlights a great variety of businesses and attractions and is a driving force stimulating a lot of foot traffic and sales at these recommended stops.  Great restaurants are featured, along with spas, weekend exploration destinations, gorgeous scenic spots … even farms and “overlooked” towns!

According to Adaland Mansion Development, Inc., this online site recently named Adaland Mansion at Philippi as one of the 12 “Most Beautiful Places To Get Married in West Virginia”.  Among its millions of viewers, it was visited by a wedding coordinator from North Carolina and it resulted in a call being place to Adaland’s executive director in January to ask about using Adaland as a wedding venue!

Adaland, situated on a hilltop overlooking a picturesque view, offers a charming venue for weddings from May to mid-October.  Ceremonies may be held in the garden, on the pavilion, at the front entrance overlooking the garden, or on the lawn.  Reception buffets are served in the main dining room of the 1870 historical home with guests taking their food to the side yard pavilion to enjoy the panoramic view.

Many more amenities are available for the bridal couple and wedding party.  If you are planning in advance for this special day of a lifetime, as most couples do, and want to consider a setting within the beauty of the neo Greek home and gardens at Adaland, call 304-457-2415 for further details or to set up a time to visit.
