Ann M. Lester, 100 of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Shinnston, WV passed away on January 30, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Myrtle Beach, SC.
She was born February 7, 1924, in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Mario and Clara (Ventry) Pasini.
She and her husband, Vergil Lester, were married for 70 years before his death in 2016.
She is survived by daughters Virginia Harrison of Myrtle Beach, SC, Suzanne (William) Bushnell of
Harpswell, Maine, Cheryl (Del) Ray of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mari (Brian) Clovis of Dover, DE, sons James
(Rose) Lester of Fairmont, WV and Timothy (Kimberly) Lester of Conway, SC.

(Brittany) Lester of Murfreesboro, TN, Katelyn Lester and fiancé Jon White, Murfreesboro, TN, Jasper

Also surviving are brothers-in-law Terry (Carol) Lester of Spicewood, TX and David (Martha) Lester of
Enterprise, WV along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter Patricia Lester, infant son David Lester, grandson Craig Harrison,
sisters -in-law Jean Slocum and Lucille Burnette and son-in-law Ed Harrison.
Ann was a former member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Shinnston, WV, a member of the Shinnston
Grade School PTA and a member of the Shinnston High Band Boosters. After she and Vergil moved to
Myrtle Beach, she enjoyed playing golf at many golf courses in the surrounding area, bowling in 2
different leagues, playing cards with her many friends and going on bus trips to places she had never
visited before. She also went to many Bowl games with her family following her favorite college team,
the WVU Mountaineers. After Vergil passed away, she started reading romance novels to pass the time,
watching The Hallmark Channel and listening to Oldies on TV.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Garden City, SC on Saturday,
February 8, 2025, with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway, SC.
