Betty Lou Quinn

Betty Lou Quinn, 86, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, just shy of her 87th birthday. Born on April 13, 1938, to Lester and Pauline Carnes, Betty grew up in Spelter, West Virginia, where she later attended Lumberport High School.

Throughout her life, Betty was known for her hardworking spirit and dedication to her family. She enjoyed a long career, retiring from both Spreckels Sugar and Tally Defense Systems. Her strength, kindness, and quiet resilience touched the lives of many who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her beloved son, Bernard Ray Quinn. She is survived by her daughter, Terry (David) Stewart, and son Richard (Brenda) Quinn. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: David Stewart, Lena Black, Shelly Black, Tyler Quinn, Rick Quinn, Jr., and Tracy Quinn; as well as several great-grandchildren.

Betty will be remembered for the love she shared, the memories she helped create, and the legacy she leaves in the hearts of her family and friends.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2025 beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1359 S. Pike Street, Shinnston, WV 26431. There will be fellowship to follow at the FOP, 1422 Buckhannon Pike, Nutterfort, WV.

Owens Livingston Mortuary – Heritage Chapel of Snowflake, Arizona handled the arrangements.
