Shinnston’s Bice-Ferguson Museum has a new director. The City of Shinnston’s Board of Museums has selected 20-year old Braden Noon of Gypsy to replace long-time director Maxine West Weser who retired earlier this year.
Noon, a native of the Shinnston/Gypsy area, is heavily involved in other community activities including Little League Baseball and the Relay for Life. He has already launched a Facebook page for the museum and has ambitious goals for increasing outreach.
“It is an honor and a privilege to be named director of the Bice-Ferguson Memorial Museum. The museum is truly a unique asset to not only Shinnston, but all of North Central West Virginia. I look forward to continuing the museum’s excellence while also taking on some new ventures to broaden the museums’s appeal. I am grateful to the Shinnston community for their continued support and look forward to working with many people throughout my service with the museum.”
