The Harrison County Parent / Education Resource Center has announced the launch of the Spring 2024 Grandfamilies Program. Scheduled to begin on March 5, 2024, at the Clarksburg Baptist Church, the program offers an 11-week series specifically designed to support kinship caregivers.
Covering a wide range of topics from navigating the public school system to addressing family responses to addiction and trauma, the program aims to provide comprehensive support and resources. The initiative also includes discussions on technology, social media, and nutrition, ensuring a holistic approach to the challenges faced by kinship caregivers. Childcare and lunch will be provided during the sessions, emphasizing the program’s commitment to accessibility and convenience for participants.
