West Virginia’s First Lady of Soul, Lady D, Coming to the Robinson Grand Clarksburg, WV – The Robinson Grand Performing Arts Center is excited to announce the venue’s first ever house band, The ’39 Fire, will make their debut on Friday, April 12, 2024 for the opening night of the Side Door Club at the Robinson Grand. The ’39 Fire, deriving their name from the tragic May 31, 1939 fire that gutted the Robinson Grand, is under the music direction of Davin Seamon and features the talent of Seth Maynard, Terry Hotsinpiller, David Kirkpatrick, and Bob Workman. This group of some of the top regional musicians will serve as the official house band of the Robinson Grand’s new speakeasy, the Side Door Club, and will also be used for other shows and special events when needed. “We knew we couldn’t open a speakeasy without a house band,” said Jason A Young, the Robinson Grand’s program manager. “Bringing this group of musicians together was exciting and I think they are all excited and eager to make their debut.” The ’39 Fire will serve as the opening act for West Virginia’s First Lady of Soul, Lady D, when she headlines opening night of the Side Door Club at the Robinson Grand on Friday, April 12, 2024. “The Side Door Club is an intimate throwback night club we are building on our stage,” said Young. “It’s a brand new way to experience the incredible Robinson Grand.” Tickets for Lady D LIVE at the Side Door Club are $50 and are now on sale. All tickets can be purchased online at tickets.therobinsongrand.com or by calling the Robinson Grand ticketing center at (855) 773-6283.
