The September Quilt Show at the Bice-Ferguson Museum concluded on September 30 th with a reception and discussion of Quilts.
Debra Herndon, Museum Director gave a brief history of quilting. Karen Drain gave a demonstration of how the Cathedral Window quilt was constructed. Quilters, beginners and non-quilters alike had a lively discussion of the art. Prizes based on votes by those who visited the Museum during September were then awarded. First place went to Karen Drain for her Cathedral Window Quilt, second place went to Shannon Bowie for Indigo Snow and third place was won by Glenna Barnes for Martha Washington Star with Prairie Points.
The Museum is planning to hold another quilt show in September of 2024.
