Radical Military Abortion Policy
WASHINGTON – Congressman Alex X. Mooney signed onto a letter led by Representatives Chris Smith (R-NJ) and Andy Harris (R-MD) to Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) expressing support for his strong stand against the Biden Administration’s radical and illegal abortion travel policy within the Department of Defense.
Congressman Alex X. Mooney said, “As a strong pro-life conservative, I am proud to stand with Senator Tuberville against President Joe Biden’s fanatical pro-abortion agenda. The Hyde Amendment blocks federal funding for abortions, but the Biden Department of Defense is undermining federal and state laws by paying for personnel to travel to get abortions.”
Mooney added, “Instead of focusing on military readiness, the Biden Administration is using taxpayer funds to promote on-demand abortion. The Senate is given power over confirmations as a check on the Executive Branch. Senator Tuberville has been one of the few people to use his power to fight for the right to life, and I am supportive and grateful for his stand.”
