David Wayne Martin Sr., 58, of Enterprise, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the home of his daughter in Clarksburg, following a brief illness. He was born February 7, 1967 in Clarksburg, a son of the late Okey Thomas and Doris Jean Riley Martin.
He is survived by his loving children, David Wayne Martin Jr. and his fiancé Christy Rhoades of Clarksburg; Marlyn Jean Martin and her fiancé Zach Martin of Clarksburg; and Megan Neva Swiger and her husband Paul of Wallace; his grandchildren, Justin, Madison, and Nathan Martin; Gabi Stevens; Zachary, Timothy, and Kyler Martin; Brantley and Dylan Swiger; his great-grandson, Grayson Martin; as well as his siblings, Jean Hall and Larney Moore; Jeff Martin; Karen Fluharty and husband Ron; Darlene Butler; Robert Martin and wife Brenda; and Wanda Joyce Shanks; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his granddaughter, McKenzie Martin; his sister, Sharon Martin; his brother, Roger Martin; and his nephew, Jonathan Hall.
David worked as a tree trimmer and landscaper for many years. He was very active and enjoyed everything outdoors, especially fishing. More than anything, David enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation services were provided by Perine Funeral Home. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions will be accepted at 1348 S.
