Doug “Turtle” Springston 65 of Ravenswood, WV passed away on December 13, 2016 at the Ravenswood Village.
He was born on May 24, 1951, a son of Donald E. Springston and Ida M. Springston
Doug is survived by his twin sons Jason A. Springston of Ravenswood, and C. Derek Springston and his wife Angie Springston of Morgantown; his brother David W. Springston and wife Shari of Springfield VA; his grandchildren Simon B. Springston and Dylan J. Springston, both of Morgantown; his nephews Elliott Springston, Scott Springston, and Nicholas Springston; his nieces Sarah Springston and Johanna Springston.
Doug was a Methodist by faith and was previously employed by JC Penny’s and CJ Hughes. Doug was a member of the Sheltered Workshop, The Historical Society and Archaeological Society. Doug enjoyed fly fishing, music and church.
