Harold Vaughn Jones

Harold Vaughn Jones, 74, of Wallace, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at United Hospital Center. He was born on July 25, 1950 in Brown, WV the son of the late Okey Darrell and Elizabeth Ruth Backus Jones.

Harold served his country in the United States Army. He worked for Mountain State Auto Auction. He loved the Lord with all his heart. His faith guided his life and he lived with kindness, humility, and strength. Harold had a special love for old classic cars, but more than anything, he loved his family. He cherished time spent with them-especially around the dinner table. Family dinner was never just about food; they were about laughter, stories, prayer, and being together.

Harold is survived by his one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Lowe and husband Daniel, Wallace; two sons, Harold V. Jones Jr. and wife Jesica, Pine Grove; and David Sampson Jones, Lumberport; three grandsons, D.J. Lowe and fiancé Caitlyn, Fairmont, Travis Lowe and wife Kylie, Shinnston, and Kayden Jones, Pine Grove; four granddaughters, Christen Stalnaker and husband Camrin, Wallace, Alexis Jones, Pine Grove, Olivia Jones, Gypsy, and Abigail Jones, Lumberport; two great-grandsons, Micah Lowe and Jayce Stalnaker; two great-granddaughters, Piper Lowe and Gracelynn Stalnaker; one brother, Edmon Jones and wife Mildred, Greenville, OH; two sisters, Ruby Allen, Ithaca, OH, and Emma Kennedy and husband Randy, Union City, OH; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Jones; four brothers, Okey Jones, John Jones, Raymond Jones, and Donavon Jones; one sister, Barbara Poling.

Per his wishes he will be cremated.

Dorsey Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the Jones family.
