The Harrison County athletes in the spotlight this week are Robert C. Byrd’s Kobe Duarte and Cam Newsaun. Flying Eagle Kobe Duarte has spent the entire season as a receiver until last week when he moved to quarterback. In a loss to Point Pleasant, Duarte was 19 of 27 for 318 yards and five touchdowns. It was the eighth most passing yards in a game in school history. He also picked up 134 rushing yards on 15 carries.
Flying Eagle Cam Newsaun made his season debut with seven receptions for 166 yards and three scores. Newsaun had the sixth highest receiving yardage total in a single game in school history.
Congratulations to RCB’s Kobe Duarte and Cam Newsaun for shining bright in the SN and HCJ spotlight!
