The Harrison County athletes in the spotlight this week are Bridgeport’s Gabe Martin and South Harrison’s Shepard Paugh.
Indian running back Gabe Martin helped his team to a win over Buckhannon-Upshur in the season opener. Martin picked up a game high 185 yards on 10 carries. He also recorded four scores on rushes of one, three, 58, and 45 yards respectively.
Hawk running back Shepard Paugh guided his squad to a game one victory over Braxton County. Paugh picked up 132 yards on 18 opportunities. He also recorded three first half touchdowns on runs of 31, five, and nine yards.
