In May, HCSC celebrated Older Americans Month with several activities. On May 8th ,
Clarksburg’s Alley 304 once again welcomed the HCSC seniors for an early morning
bowling activity. The following Wednesday, May 15th , Marsha Greathouse, of Painting
with Marsha, guided a group of seniors for an afternoon of owl painting in the Kinley
Café.
On Monday, May 20th , HCSC celebrated World Bee Day with assistance from Harrison
County Parks and Recreation Staff. At lunch, the “Bee” visited each table and shared a
handout on the benefits of honey. Each senior received a 2oz bottle of locally
harvested honey.
WVU Hospice Community Representative Swapna King was present to distribute
information and provide a door prize drawing won by Cathy Floyd.
