Bridgeport, W.Va.—Anam Sabzwari, MD, is joining UHC Pulmonology’s Sleep Medicine services, having completed all rotations in Sleep Medicine at the Department of Sleep Medicine, West Virginia University Health System.
While training, he worked extensively with both adult and pediatric sleep disorders.
Dr. Sabzwari's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Stony Brook University (Stony Brook, N.Y.) and continued at the University of Medicine and Dentistry, Stratford, N.J., where he earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences.
He then earned a Master of Business Administration from Davenport University, Grand Rapids, Mich., where he concentrated on Healthcare Management. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Avalon University School of Medicine, Willemstad, Curacao, completing all core and elective clerkships in U.S. hospitals.
Additionally, Dr. Sabzwari has a wealth of working healthcare experience, having served as an attending physician in an adult recovery center; resident physician at a Department of Family Medicine; and healthcare coordinator at an Interventional Pain Management facility.
Rounding out his years in medicine is extensive research and teaching experience in sleep apnea, cardiology and critical care medicine, and infectious diseases.
Board eligible in Sleep Medicine, Dr. Sabzwari is certified in advanced cardiovascular support and basic life support.
