Metal Tech Expo presents opportunity for WV companies to grow businesses

The state and region’s premier business-to-business networking event returns April 10 to Huntington as the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center (MAMC) and Advantage Valley present the 2025 Tri-State Metal Tech Supply Chain Expo.

Metalworking small businesses – machine and welding shops, fabricators, heat treating and powder-coating operations – as well as suppliers to these businesses are invited to participate in the free expo by reserving a table to showcase the goods and services they provide, said MAMC Director Derek Scarbro. Representatives of major companies from across the region will attend the expo in search of new goods and services suppliers.

“If you want to expand your business or identify new suppliers, this event is for you,” Scarbro said. “Small businesses can get their foot in the door with potential large customers and major manufacturers can identify suppliers closer to home.”

The expo will take place Thursday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Huntington (1001 3rd Ave.), with setup beginning at 8 a.m. Lunch will be provided thanks to the generous support of sponsor Steel of West Virginia.

Registration is required at www.mfg.marshall.edu/25metaltech. For more information, contact  Tanner Drown, MAMC Business Development Specialist, at tanner.drown@mfg.marshall.edu or 304-781-1688.

MAMC and Advantage Valley have organized more than a dozen supply chain expos in recent years, resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars in new contracts, shorter supply chains, cost savings, business expansions and diversification.

Major funding for the supply chain expos is provided by the U.S. Economic Development Administration and the Appalachian Regional Commission through a POWER (Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization) grant.
