Here’s a glimpse of what’s in store:
HEDC WINS BIG:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently visited our community to announce the recent $500,000 Brownfields Community-Wide Assessment Grant award for HEDC. The federal grant will provide funding for HEDC and its partners to assess commercial and industrial properties in target areas with environmental contaminants and potential redevelopment or reuse opportunities.
Empowering Our Community Through Engagement:
At HEDC, community engagement is at the heart of our economic development endeavors. Executive Director, Amy Haberbosch, has been a prominent voice in various organizations countywide in the past month. Her insightful talks have shed light on HEDC’s identity, objectives, and the latest advancements in our ongoing projects within the community. This engagement underscores our commitment to transparency and collaboration, fostering a shared vision for sustainable progress.
Strengthening Bonds for Collective Prosperity:
In a remarkable collaboration with the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce, HEDC organized a special afternoon event that brought together newly elected officials from Harrison County. This occasion facilitated invaluable networking opportunities and reinforced the spirit of unity among key decision-makers. By fostering these connections, HEDC continues to play a pivotal role in harmonizing efforts for the collective prosperity of our region.
Stay tuned for more updates as HEDC remains steadfast in transforming challenges into opportunities and empowering our community for a brighter tomorrow.
