WATOTO CHILDREN’S CHOIR CONCERT
Clarksburg Baptist Church will host a free concert on Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 pm featuring the Watoto Children’s Choir, a group of orphans ranging in age from 5-12. “Signs & Wonders” is the title of their production of worshipful music, and they will share their inspiring stories of hope that living in the Watoto Village has brought to their lives. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Harrison County Senior Center will host a Candidate Meet & Greet for the Clarksburg City Council and Water Board on Friday, June 2nd at the Senior Center. Social hour begins at 5:30 pm and the program will start at 6:00 pm. This is not a debate…it is an opportunity to learn!
HISTORICAL SOCIETY MEETING
The Harrison County Historical Society’s open meeting on Saturday, June 3rd will feature guest speaker, Merle T. Cole, beginning at 2:00 pm at the Progressive Women’s Association at 305 Washington Ave., Clarksburg. Cole, a Raleigh County native and 2017 WV History Hero, is an expert in WV law enforcement history and has a published book on this subject, “A Century Ago: Creating a State Constabulary for West Virginia.” Refreshments will be available.
HOAGIE AND BAKE SALE
A meatball hoagie and bake sale will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 2nd & 3rd from 11 am to 5 pm at the Spelter United Methodist Church. Hoagies will be $7. 6TH ANNUAL FAIRMONT ACCORDION CONCERT
The Knights of Columbus, 1329 Mary Lou Retton Dr., Fairmont will host the 6th annual Accordion Concert on Saturday, June 10th at 7 PM. Accordion players from five states will perform, including featured artists Cory Pesaturo and Grammy nominated Kevin Solecki. Admission $15 (kids 12 and under free).
VERA BRADLEY BINGO
The Harrison County Historical Society presents its annual “Keeping History Alive Vera Bradley Bingo” at the Clarksburg VFW on Sunday, June 11th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Tickets are $20 for 20 games and there will also be raffles, a 50/50 drawing, door prizes, and refreshments. All proceeds go toward archival supplies and preserving the Stealey-Goff-Vance House.

A 13 week DivorceCare support group is being offered at the First United Methodist Church in Shinnston. Rev. Craig Blankenship will be the leader of the adult group and Rev.
