Norman Russell Hardman

Norman Russell Hardman, 83, of Lumberport, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at his home surrounded by his wife, Sandy, and daughter, Belinda. He was born in Gypsy, WV, August 22, 1941, a son of the late Walter Worthington Hardman and Gertrude Irene Hamilton Hardman.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Marlene Hardman, whom he married on July 2, 1983; his son, Jamie Garland Hardman; his daughters, Belinda Kay Hardman and Robin Lisa Hardman; his sisters-in-law, Nancy Hardman and Caroline Hardman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Noel Hardman and Nelson Hardman; his sisters, Naomi Boram and Nina Fitzpatrick; his sons, Norman Jay Hardman, Kevin Lee Lewis; and his stepson, Thomas “Toby” May, Jr.

Norman was a retired coal miner and supervisor at Consolidation Coal Company.

The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, from 11 am until the time of the memorial service at 1pm, Thursday, June 19th, with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Interment will be in the Lumberport Lion’s Club Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hardman family.
