Deputy Sheriff’s Reserves, pictured L-R, M. S. Lambiotte, Robert Kramer, Chaplain Doug Sands, from the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office’s Citizens Academy explained the role and significance of the Project Lifesaver Program (PLS). PLS uses radio technology to provide timely and effective search-and-rescue response for children and adults who wander due to cognitive impairments. PLS is an essential tool for caregivers of those with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. At the June 26 HCSC Satellite Presidents Council meeting, they gave a hands on demonstration of the devices.
