It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Joseph Romeo, 71, who died unexpectedly on January 1, 2025 from a massive heart attack while visiting his sister in Fairmont. Steve was a beloved brother to Debbie, a beloved nephew to his many aunts and uncles, and a beloved cousin to his many, many cousins.
Steve was born on November 2, 1953 to Jack Romeo and Clara Fooks Romeo in Shinnston, WV. He worked his entire career in Oil/Gas Related fields and worked in Venezuela for part of his career. He settled in Glen Burnie, Maryland, where he completed his career.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Clara Fooks Romeo and his Stepmother Phillis Romeo; grandparents Catherine and Joe Romeo and Mildred Fooks; aunts and uncles Eva Jane Fooks, Sam and Gale Romeo, John and Pila Romeo, Frank Romeo, Anthony and Jane Romeo, Joe and Thelma Romeo, Tom Romeo, John and Frances Colorossi, Victor and Mary Casciato, Ralph and Lucille Hilton, and Kay Pagliaro; and several cousins.
He is survived by his step-sister Debbie; uncle John Pagliaro; aunts Mary K. Romeo, Katy Romeo; and numerous cousins.
Steve loved to fish.
Per his wishes, he will be cremated.
