The Stonewall Jackson Coin Club will host its annual show on Sunday, April 30th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Harrison County Senior Center. Admission is FREE! Anyone with old coins they would like to have appraised is invited to bring them in. Experts from the club will be happy to appraise them free of charge. However, they do request that you bring small amounts only! Professional coin dealers from four states will be present to buy or sell coins.
There will be hourly drawings for door prizes and raffle tickets will be sold at $1 each. (No need to be present to win.) Prizes are as follows:
1st Prize: 1909 $5 Gold Piece or $350 cash
2nd Prize: 1911 $2 ½ Gold Piece or $250 cash
3rd Prize: 20th Century Type Set or $150 cash
4th Prize: One-tenth oz. Gold Bullion or $125 cash
5th Prize: 1898 Silver Dollar or $60 cash
6th Prize: 1884 Silver Dollar or $60 cash
7th Prize: Book on the Study of Money
Proceeds from the Coin Club benefit the Harrison County Senior Center.
The Stonewall Jackson Coin Club, the largest coin club in the state, meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the Senior Center Ballroom. New members are invited to join; dues are $10 a year for adults and those under 18 are free. Each month the club gives away two door prizes valued at $25 each and one door prize of $25 cash.
