The WV Beekeepers Association Fall Conference, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishing of WVBA, will be held Friday afternoon, September 22nd and all day on Saturday, September 23rd.
The celebration will take place in the Robert H Mollohan Building at the High Tech Center in Fairmont, WV.
The main speakers will be Alex Zomchek, Apiculturist at Miami of Ohio University Researcher Speaker, Joe Kovaleski, Master Beekeeper (Ohio, WV, and EAS) and Queen Producer; breakout sessions are planned for Saturday.
Completed preregistration forms with payment must be mailed by August 31, 2017. Cost for early registration for current members of WVBA is $35- this includes lunch on Saturday. Cost for current members of WVBA after August 31 is $45. Non-member early registration-both days or Saturday only is $42 or Friday only is $12.50. Children between 6-16 cost is $15; children under 6 are free! WVBA members who register after August 31 is $45 for both days or Saturday only. Non-member registration after August 31, the is cost $52.
There will be a barbecue on Friday evening and the cost for it is $5 each. This event is handicapped accessible. “Sound of the Mountains” is providing the entertainment on Friday evening for the barbecue.
