This weekend, downtown Clarksburg will be in full celebration of the holiday season. The Clarksburg Visitors
Bureau and Explore Clarksburg will be hosting a weekend of winter-themed events.
The festival will kick off on Friday at 5 p.m. with a holiday market at Jackson Square. The evening will also
include the city’s Christmas parade at 6 p.m., as well as a tree lighting ceremony after the parade.
The parade is expected to attract many from the area. Participants include local schools as well as businesses in
the area.
The celebration is slated to continue Saturday will a continuation of the holiday market. Multiple performances,
demonstrations and activities are scheduled throughout the day. All activities will be between the hours of 10 a.m.
through 6 p.m. at Jackson Square.
Throughout the day, expect performances from Harrison County school choirs, Clarksburg Madrigals. Also
scheduled: letters to Santa at the Waldomore, a live nativity scene and more.
The day will then wrap up with a holiday event at the Robinson Grand Theater. A showing of the movie “White
Christmas” will be shown at 7:30 p.m. Concessions will be available at the movie.
The slogan of this event is “Be Part of the Magic!” This weekend is shaping up to be full of holiday cheer and
magic.
