Nancy Nichole Exline-Webb
Nancy Nichole Exline-Webb, 52, of Lumberport, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023 following a courageous 27 year battle with several types of cancer. She was born in Clarksburg on February 16, 1971 a daughter of Thomas C. Exline of Lumberport, and the late Sherry Lynn Hall Exline.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Michael H. Webb, whom she married on December 29, 2018.
She is also survived by her daughter, Kaitlin M. Exline and her fiancé Seth Stalnaker of Beverly; her step-sons, Michael H. Webb Jr. and his wife Georgia of Cottageville; and Bryan Elliott Webb and his wife Tara Dawn of NC; step-granddaughters, Vivien and Lucia Webb of Cottageville; her step-grandson, Bryan Elliott Webb Jr. of NC; her brother, Thomas Kelly Exline and his girlfriend, Susan L. Longwell of Lumberport; her mother-in-law, Shirley Mae Webb of St. Albans; her brother-in-law, Charles Webb and his wife DeeDee of St. Albans; her uncle, Michael Exline and his wife Carolyn of Lumberport; and her aunt, Mary Beverly and her husband Charles “Pete” of Clarksburg; as well as several cousins.
In addition to her mother, Nancy was preceded in death by her aunt, Imajean McIntire and her husband Ronald; grandparents, Owen E. and Waneda Exline; and Glenn R. and Hazel Madeline Hall; and her father-in-law, Charles H. Webb.
Nancy graduated from Liberty High School in 1989 and went on to graduate from Fairmont State College in 1993. She started her career as an Economic Service Worker with WV Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Children and Families where she retired as the Commissioner with 20 years of service. Nancy served as Vice-President of the Lumberport Lions Club and was President of the Lumberport Lions Club Cemetery Association. She loved Lumberport and currently held the position of Town Recorder.
Her passion was always helping those in need. Nancy was a Christian who served the Lord by being a former Sunday school teacher, choir director, and deacon. She also served as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader and was a Patient Advocate at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. Nancy also enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family.
The family would like to thank the Nurses and Clinical Associates at the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit at the WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. And a special thank you to Drs. Hannah Hazard – Jenkins and Adham Salkeni, and Nurse Practitioners, Samantha Hall and Holly Shapiro for their devoted and loving care.
