Jack Wayne Leep, 73, of Hepzibah, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg, November 6, 1950, a son of Arnett Marcellous Leep and the late Betty Lou Short Leep.
Surviving are his wife, Connie Virginia Morgan Leep, whom he married, May 6, 1972; two sons, Joshua Ryan Leep and his wife Heather, and Zackery Tyler Leep and his wife Stephani, both of Hepzibah; two granddaughters, Rylee and Raegan Leep; one sister, Charlotte Shira, Freemont, CA; and several nieces and nephews. Jack was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clarence Freeman and Virginia Ruth Morgan.
Jack was a school teacher and retired from Doddridge County Elementary School with over 20 years of service. He was a member of the Hepzibah Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. Jack enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching sports. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan, but more than that, he loved watching his granddaughters cheer lead. He was fond of spending time in the country, especially Blackwater Falls and Snowshoe. He loved his family and will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends at the Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 11am until the time of the funeral service at 1pm, Friday, September 27th with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Interment will be in the Hepzibah Cemetery.
