David Lantz, 82, of the Glenwood Hill Addition of Clarksburg, went to see Jesus on Friday, September 27, 2024. He was born on December 7, 1941, on Indian Fork in Barbour County.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years Ronda (Williams) Lantz; his son and daughter in law, Philip and Becky Lantz of Clarksburg; one daughter in law, Kimberly Lantz of Clarksburg;

grandchildren Olivia and Colton Conner of Bridgeport, Broderick and Camryn Lantz of Sardis,

Miya Lantz of Clarksburg, Sophie Lantz and her fiance, Landon Beverly, of Clarksburg, Graham and Brandt Lantz of Clarksburg; great grandchildren: Sebastian, Channing, Farrah and Kennedy Conner; along with a sister, Genevieve America and Chuck Lantz; and loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ruth Lantz; son, Ryan Gail Lantz;

seven brothers and sisters, Opal, Billy, Mary, Troy (Buddy), Daryl and Geraldine.

He retired from Lockheed-Martin Aeronautics after working there for 35 years, previously working for Ingersoll-Rand.

He was a member of the Reynoldsville Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Trustee, Sunday School Teacher and Treasurer. Later in life, he attended Higher Rock Ministries.

David loved the game of baseball, having coached Babe Ruth for many years. He was an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He really enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports of all kinds. He was the 2023 Ridgerunner of the year and a member of the Adamston Lion’s Club where he enjoyed serving the community any way that he could.

We would like to thank the staff at River Oaks Health Care Center for their care over the last year and a half.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5th from 12:00-4:00 at Higher Rock Ministries, located at 305 Haywood Drive, Shinnston WV with services to follow at 4:00 with Pastor Jeff Perine, Pastor Timothy Sandy and Pastor Nate Moore. Condolences may be extended to the family at www.perinefunerals.com. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Lantz family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Consumed 200 Braxton Ave. Clarksburg, WV 26301.
