He is four-year member of the football team and wrestling team. He really found success on the wrestling mat. In 9th grade, he earned 6th place Big 10; in the 10th grade, he earned 5th place Big 10, 2nd place at the Mike Stump Invitational, 4th place at Regionals, and was a state qualifier; and in 11th grade, he earned 2nd place at the Mike Stump Invitational, 2nd place at McFly Outdoor Duals, 3rd place Big 10, and 5th place at Regionals. He is set to have an excellent senior season. Cade has also played two years of varsity baseball.

Cade’s hard work doesn’t stop in the classroom and on athletic fields, though. He is a four-year member of Student Council where he has served on the executive committee for three of those years. Cade is a four-year member of the Key Club where he has served as Board Member. He also serves as Vice President of the National Science Honor Society, and has been on the yearbook staff for three years. He has spent countless hours volunteering in his community. Some of these include: Feed-a-Family, Field Day with Friends, and Angel Luv.

Outside of school, Cade is a member of Bible Baptist Fellowship Church, is employed as a lifeguard at the Shinnston city pool, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

Cade has plans to pursue a career in Exercise Science and may wrestle at the collegiate level. His college choice is currently undecided, though.

Cade Patrick Riley is the son of Clay and Whitney Riley of Shinnston, and the grandson of Ann Riley and the late Bob Riley of Shinnston, and Phyllis Ryan of Shinnston, and Lynton Ryan of Lumberport.

A four-year member of the boys’ basketball team, Cade helped pave the way for the team to earn sectional champs for two years in a row. Also, a four-year member of the football team, Cade made his mark on that sport, as well. As a captain, he earned Big 10 and All-County awards, and was chosen as West Virginia MetroNews Scholar Athlete of the Week. He also played two years of baseball, as well.
