Brenda Kay Wolfe

Brenda Kay Wolfe, 75, of Enterprise, passed on January 24, 2026 in Lumberport at her son’s home. She was born in Clarksburg on February 12, 1950 to the late William Harry Tichenor and Hazel (McDaniel) Tichenor.

Brenda worked at Phar-Mor as a manager, where she retired, after over ten years of service. She was a graduate of Shinnston High School and a member of the Enterprise United Methodist Church. She loved reading, playing golf and going to the beach with her husband, working outside in the yard, spending time with her grandchildren, hosting dinners, going to church, shopping and eating with her friends.

Brenda is survived by two sons: Todd Wolfe and wife Heather of Clarksburg and Mike Wolfe and wife Melody of Lumberport; three grandsons: Lleyton, Will and Duke; three granddaughters: Langston, Delaney and Lorelai; one brother, Bill Tichenor of Shinnston; one brother-in-law, Fred Elbon of Elkins; one sister-in-law, Carol Siers of Tulsa, OK as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Duane Wolfe; one sister, Joyce Ann Elbon; one brother, Rusty Tichenor; three nephews: Kenny Jackson, Rusty Tichenor, Jr. and Brian Black; four sisters-in-law: Sheila Tichenor, Sue Tichenor, Joyce Tichenor and Mary Medlock and two brothers-in-law: Bud Black and Richard Siers.

She loved visits from her brother Bill and nephew Billy and his wife Keely as well as her niece Christie and her husband Brad and niece, Lova.

The family would like to give a special “thank you” to Nancy Loretta, Sarah Benson and WVU Hospice Staff for their care and compassion.

Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, for visitation on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 2:00PM until 8:00PM and on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 11:00AM until 1:00PM, time of service, with Josh Helmick officiating. Interment to follow to Enterprise IOOF Cemetery.

Dorsey Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements for the Wolfe family.
